For Landlords

What is my profile?
Your profile is how prospective tenants can contact you. On the profile there are several different fields for your information, including address, phone number(s), and an E-Mail address. These fields are all optional, however, we ask that you have at least one form of contact information so students can contact you when they want to rent a listing.

Your profile also contains a spot to upload a photo. This can be a photo of you, a company logo, an example apartment, or any other image you want to be associated with your account. Keep in mind that prospective tenants may see this photo, so it should be a positive reflection of your business.
How do I add photos to a listing?
When you create a listing, you are provided with a checkbox that says "Click Here if you want to add photos to the listing". To add photos, you first check this box, then complete the rest of the listing form. After you've entered all the proper information and saved the listing, you will be directed to another page where you can upload photos. After uploading you can add comments to the photos.

Keep in mind that we limit the size and number of photos you can upload. See below for details.
It says my photos are too big - why?
In order to keep the system running smoothly, we need to limit the filesize of uploaded images. If you have a digital camera that takes pictures above 6 or 7 megapixels, you might need to resize the photos before uploading them. For instructions on resizing photos, see This Tutorial.
I resized my photos, but it still says they're too big
If you're uploading multiple photos, the file size of all of them combined must be no greater than our maximum allowed file size. Try uploading your photos 1 or 2 at a time. If this doesn't work, they may need to be sized even smaller.

Keep in mind that once uploaded, your photos will be resized to about the size of a 3x5 notecard, so you don't need to upload extremely high-resolution photos.
I can't browse listings
Landlords are not permitted to browse listings. They are provided as a service to the students.
Can I have the ability to specify _______ on my listing?
If you'd like to specify some extra information on your listing that isn't already on our form, then let us know. If your apartment has a feature that isn't listed we can add that feature to the form so you can more accurately represent your listing (Like adding 'Fireplace' to the list of features). If the feature is requested by many landlords, we may break it off into its own feature.

One example would be if we received several requests to specify the type of TV that came with the apartment-- we would create a new section called 'TV Type' and allow you to specify a Traditional CRT, LCD, Plasma, etc.
Why are my photos black?
In the early stages of this system, there was a bug that caused uploaded images to become black squares. This bug has since been fixed. If you are still experiencing problems, please Contact Us

How do I search?
The method of searching for listings can appear difficult at first, but it allows you to search for the exact apartment you want. For example, if you were looking for an apartment that would allow you to move in with your cat, you could search by apartments that Allowed Pets, then you would check the 'Cat' box. This would display all listings that allowed cats.

We are currently working on adding more features to make searching easier, including searching by distance to campus.
How Can I Sublet My Apartment?
Subletting can be done by creating a landlord account, posting your apartment as a listing, and selecting 'Sublet' instead of 'Rental' when creating the listing. This will flag your listing as a sublet and will make it available as such. Creating a landlord account is necessary. You cannot sublet with a student or guest account.
